Made with 100% organically grown cotton uppers and 100% jute fiber laces, this low-top shoe combines Johanson’s abstract aesthetic with a construction that you can feel good about. We’ve even engineered an all new eco rubber compound made from responsibly sourced natural rubber instead of petroleum-derived synthetic rubber, making our legendary grip and durability more eco-friendly.
The Vans x Chris Johanson Authentic SF contains less than 1% by outsole weight of material scraps from the factory cutting floor, which have been chopped up and inserted into the outsoles, ultimately diverting these materials from a landfill.

100% ORGANICALLY GROWN COTTON – Organic cotton is grown from non-genetically modified seed with no synthetic pesticides.
LACES MADE WITH 100% JUTE FIBER – Jute is grown with minimal water and is considered a fast growing renewable crop.
VANS NATURAL RUBBER – This all new eco rubber compound is made from responsibly sourced natural rubber instead of petroleum-derived synthetic rubber, and was engineered to maintain the grip and durability that Vans has been known for since 1966.
RECYCLED TEXTILE TRIMMINGS – Material scraps from the factory cutting floor have been chopped up and inserted into the outsoles instead of going to waste. Though the scraps make up less than 1% of the total outsole weight, we are diverting those materials from landfill.
